 Major research interests include computational hydraulics, hydrology and water environment protection, GIS, computer software development and river basin flood control. He developed a watershed hydrologic cycle model system including water quantity and quality simulation coupled with one, two and three-dimensional hydraulic model, which has been applied in more than ten Chinese provinces and led to notable economic and social benefits, and has been awarded the copyright (2006SR04814, 2010SR009018, 2010SR011858, 2010SR038830) by National Copyright Administration of the P.R.C.. He led or took part in over 20 key and major projects funded by provinces and ministries in China. He has published over 60 papers 10 of them are indexed by SCI, EI and ISTP. He has published one book named “Taihu Basin Model” with other two authors. He won two Grade-II National Prizes for the Progress in Science and Technology, as well as one first class, four second class and three third class provincial and ministry prizes for progress in science and technology. |
