Dr. Shi’s research focuses on distributed hydrological model and flood forecasting. He has ever directed the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Ph.D. Programs Foundation of Ministry of Education and the Special Fund of State Key Laboratory of China, meanwhile as a main contributor, he participated in more than 10 projects, for example the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the National 973 Project, the Ground Project Granted by the Ministry of Education of China, the Commonweal Project Granted by the Ministry of Water Resources of China, the Program for Changjiang Scholars and Innovative Research Team in University. He has published over 20 papers, which 8 papers are indexed by SCI, EI and ISTP. He won on Grade I Prizes for the Progress in Science and Technology at Jiangsu Province. He also applied for and obtained two national invention patents. Now, he is the member of CSNR, IAHS and ASCE.
