Dr. Xue graduated from Hefei University of Technology with a BS in hydrology and water resources. She obtained her PhD in Hydrology and Water Resources from Hohai University in 2002. In 2006, Dr.Xue has been engaged in collaborative study at WRC in University College Dublin. Now she worked as a professor in State Key laboratory of Hydrology-Water Resources and Hydraulic Engineering. Her research interest lies at Watershed Hydrology and Water Environment modeling. In particular, her research focuses on water resource utilization and the intersection of hydrology and water environment at the catchment scale. Her main research objectives are to continue developing and applying advanced catchment scale hydrological models for water and solute transport and validate water quantity/quality-related ecosystem models at the basin to catchment scale under changing conditions. She also pays special attention to hydrological extreme at a range of spatial and temporal scales and mankind activity impact and their cumulative effects on hydrological cycle character. She led or took part in over 10 major research projects funded by provinces and ministries in China. She had finished 1 monograph of Assessment and Management of Watershed Water Environment and Ecosystem and published nearly 60 academic papers. |
