Four Holland Students from Delft University of Technology made a short-term research of two months in Hydro-Lab

From September 5th, four students from Delft University of Technology will make a short-term research of two months in the State Key Laboratory of Hydrology-Water Resources and Hydraulic Engineering. They are Reinder Ebben, Thomas Vijverberg, Johan-Paul Verschuure and Rutger Quak. During their stay, they will finish a research project under the supervision of Prof. Yan Yixin, Prof. Song Zhiyao and Doctor Tong Chaofeng. The project is about the effects of large coastal and estuarine hydraulic projects including harbors and reclamation on the dynamic conditions and oceanic environment of costal areas. At present, they had a pleasant cooperation with teachers and students of the Laboratory, and the research work goes well.
 
Delft University of Technology is a famous university in Europe, especially with great honor in the field of water resources, and was called “the Massachusetts Institute of Technology” in Europe. Delft University of Technology is the friend of Hohai University, as Yan Kai, the late academician, was graduated from it. At present, academic exchanges between two universities are carried out every year.
