The ceremony of the establishment of the Sino-US Research Center for Global Change & Water Cycle is held in Hydro-Lab on the morning of November 11th,2007. Professor Yu Zhongbo, the specially-appointed professor of the “Changjiang Scholar Programme” in Hohai university, presided over the ceremony. Prof. Yan Yixin, the vice president of Hohai University talked on the ceremony. Academicians of Chinese Academy of Sciences including Prof. Liu Changming, Prof. Wang Jichang, and Prof. Xue Yuqun, and Academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering Prof. Lu Yaoru, Dr. Frank Schwartz, Hydrogeology professor in US Ohio State University, and experts from Desert Research Institute including Dr. Warwick、Dr. Shafer、Dr. Stone and、Dr. Acharya, and Prof. Peng Shizhang, director of Hydro-Lab, attended the ceremony. Prof. Yan Yixin, Prof. Liu Changming, Dr. Frank Schwartz、Dr. Warwick unveiled the plate of the research center together.
