Workshop on Ecological Effect of Hydro-Engineering is held in Najing on Novemember 11 to 12. It is co-sponsored by Chinese National Committee for International Hydrological Program (IHP) of UNESCO, Nanjing Institute of Hydraulic Research, Research Center on Hydrology and Water Resources,Ministry of Water Resources, and Hydro-Lab. The workshop is supported by UNESCO, the Ministry of Water Resources, Tsinghua University, Yunnan University and Chinese Key Foundamental Research Programme. The workshop focused on the evaluation of positive and negative ecological effects of hydraulic structures, especially major reservoir dams. Over 80 experts in related research area attended the workshop.
