The 25th IUGG Assembly was held from June 28th to July 7th in Melbourne, Australia. During the period of the assembly, the International Association of Hydrological Sciences (IAHS) elected its new Chairman, vice Chairmen and Secretary-General. Professor Ren Liliang was nominated by Chinese National Committee of IAHS, and was elected as the vice Chairman of the new session of the IAHS for the next four years.
