On October 14, Mr. Wang Xuedong, the deputy director general of Qingdao Blue Valley Authority, led a team to do research in Hohai University, and they were welcomed warmly by the vice-president Professor Tang Hongwu.

Professor Tang gave the guests a detailed introduction of the disciplines, patent training, achievement transformation, talent training of our university and so on, and then emphasized the significance of combination between the achievement transformation of science and technologies, and local industries, in the hope of further cooperation. Besides, Mr. Wang Xuedong introduced some relevant information of Qingdao Blue Valley Authority as well, which is the only high-tech R & D and industrial agglomeration new area in our country, characterized by seas and oceans. Joined by Professor Wang Wen, the vice director of the State Key Laboratory of Hydrology-Water Resources and Hydraulic Engineering (Hydro-Lab), the two sides came to a consensus on the cooperation and transformation of scientific and technological achievements at last.

After the meeting, the guests paid a visit to the Hydro-Lab.
