From November 5 to 6, 2016, the 2nd “World Water Valley” Forum and The 1st Wenchuan Forum were hosted in Wenchuan, Sichuan Province, China.

Guests and experts from politics, academia, business and financial institutions across more than nineteen countries and territories including the United States, Canada, Britain, Pakistan, Hong Kong and so on gathered together, and communicated with each other around the topic of “Focusing on A-Ba State of Sichuan Province, and promoting the ecological civilization”. The president of Hohai University, Professor Xu Hui attended and addressed the forums. Besides, the director of the State Key Laboratory of Hydrology-Water Resources and Hydraulic Engineering (Hydro-Lab), Professor Yu Zhongbo gave a report on the development and present situation of the hydrological science and technology under the changing climate.

The guests all reached consensus on the monumental prospects of the aquatic restoration in the future world water valley and development of ecological economics after the Wenchuan Earthquake.
