A few days ago, Professor Zheng Jinhai, the academic leader of the Integrated Management and Protection of Estuarine and Coastal Regions research group from the State Key Laboratory of Hydrology-Water Resources and Hydraulic Engineering (Hydro-Lab), was elected as the ASCE 2016 outstanding reviewer by Journal of Waterway,Port,Coastal and Ocean Engineering.
The American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) is a tax-exempt professional body founded in 1852 to represent members of the civil engineering profession worldwide, which has attracted more than 130,000 civil engineers and allied professionals from 159 countries around the world. Headquartered in Reston, Virginia, it is the oldest national engineering society in the US and the world’s largest publisher of civil engineering information with publications being the largest revenue-producer for ASCE. Moreover, publications of over 50,000 pages come out annually, including 31 types of professional journals, various books, conference proceedings, standards, manuals of practice, technical reports and monographs, etc.
